My computer's been down for the past week, which explains my blog's lack of updates.
Sooooooooo, college life officially started on Jan 5(monday)for me. I'm doing
Canadian International Matriculation Programme(CIMP)in
Sunway University College(SunU). College,in a nutshell is profoundly different from high school.Nevermind the fact that I now have to lay out tomorrow's clothes the night before as I would rather wear normal clothes compared to the stifling hot & thick-materialed pinafores and baju kurungs.
Day one started off well enough,I headed to
Room SE-3-17. The temporary teachers assigned to that room were Mr.Lawrence Welch(an
orang putih-yet-Malaysian Math for Data Management teacher) &
Dr.Sharlene(a Malaysian-Chinese Chemistry teacher). Both teachers had a very good command of the English language,I like to note.Mr Welch was a comical, kind & soft-spoken teacher while Dr.Sharlene was a petite, firm & friendly woman. As soon as we done our 'introductory speeches',we headed to Auditorium 7 to listen to the teaching board of SunU welcome us 1st-semester students.Oh yeah, while in class,I made three international friends :
1.
Francisca, from Medan,Indonesia(didn't know she spoke Hokkien!):)
2.
Gaithri, from Sri Lanka(a very bubbly & talkactive girl):)
3.
Ethar, from Sudan/Dubai(not sure). She was my
first seatmate in the class :)
The Welcome 1st Year Speeches done,we broke away for lunch.I contemplated sitting alone, until I saw
Brenda Cheah Wenn Jinn & Charmaine(my primary school classmates). They were lunching with
Lilian Wee(also from my primary school) & her friend,
Nicole(she's in my church).
Did my quite hard
English Placement Test(EPT)then and went home.
PS: Will post about the other 2 days the next time I get to use a computer....
