Heyyy y'all. Sorry haven't been updating for quite some time. But absence makes the heart grow fonder after all, right? : P Last week was a major headache for me, what with my numerous assignments with incomprehensible deadlines to follow, studying for the various quizzes & Families test last week, yay I'm pleased to say that my passion for psych paid off, because I aced the test!!! Sweeeet J . Righhhhht, moving on, just completed the referencing activity for Families class tomorrow. Ugh, it's a tedious process, so there was only so many articles that I could use.
Oh I realized that besides telling Mich & Su Ann about my new friends in college, I haven't told anyone else yet, lol. Oops, my mistake. So....I must admit that I was kind of a bumbling idiot during my first week of college, as I could not find friends who had the same free period as I do, so most of the time I either spent recess alone or went to the library so I wouldn't look so pathetic. Lol. But all's good now, don't worry. I got into the hang & flow of things and managed to make some genuinely sweet people like Kiran,(bestie in college) Ann Mae, Albeiti (MU's die-hard fan & my loyal male seatmate since the beginning of Families class in Jan), Lesego, Tebogo, Michelle, Melissa Norris, Melissa Jefferies
(Brit gal from Zimbabwe with a hearty laugh & infectious friendliness), Mun Yee
(bubbly gal who looks exactly like a friend of mine…Michelle Koh)
Nakia (ultra sweet & pretty girl with a Southern belle accent), Nicole
(nicest girl I've ever met…hope we see each other more often)
Zahid (u talk super fast dude), & Ali (Pakistani guy who never fails to send me into fits of laughter with his witty comments & constant ranting about him wanting to find a hot babe in college, but so far failing to, lol), to name a few. Not that I'm being racist or anything, but I prefer making friends with international students as I've had many chances to make local friends throughout my twelve years of schooling in government schools. Obviously I mix with everyone and of course I don't purposely go up to people to ask whether or not their international students before befriending them !!!! In fact some people would say I'm someone who's easily swayed by other cultures, which is kinda true…I love the Western culture, just ask Mich how many times I act like an idiot when I see ang mohs,. J
I'm gonna digress to something random now. Guess what, while on an outing with Mich in Sunway Pyramid a couple of weeks back, I accidentally shoplifted…a pair of ankle socks! -.- Mich & I were laughing about it afterwards but oh my goodness, I could have died of embarrassment at that moment!!!! Luckily there were no metal detectors in that shop so when I realized what I'd done two minutes after leaving the shop, (socks in hand, mind you) I suddenly acted on a whim and turned to face the cashier who was staring at me with a blank expression. I don't know what made me realize my mistake but immediately I looked at the socks in my hand and said, "Shit!" aloud to Mich. I ran back to the shop, apologizing profusely to the cashier who still looked at me indifferently even after I explained what I'd done. Thank goodness for his reactions cos I'm sure if it was someone who took their job seriously, the person would have gone and rat me out a long time ago… but whatever lah (* shakes head)
Btw, really random fact, my favourite cartoon show since I was young till now has got to be Looney Toons, lol :) Especially Bugs Bunny & dear Tweety....awww
